Sheila M. Galvin, President and CEO of the TSGLI Medical Team, is honored to have served as a board certified, medical provider and clinical care advocate for active duty service members for the past ten years.  During this time,  she has developed trusting, collegial relationships with many military and civilian providers from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Camp Pendleton, Camp LeJeune, Naval Medical Center San Diego, San Antonio Military Medical Center, Portsmouth Naval Hospital, and each of the VA Polytrauma Centers, to name a few.  Mrs. Galvin fully understands standard medical protocols associated with prolonged physical rehabilitation for those active duty service members facing an uphill battle from an unexpected, tragic accident. 

Most notably, Mrs. Galvin brings her dedication and vast experience from her former position as the Traumatic Brain Injury Advisor to the Marine Corps' Wounded Warrior Regiment.  During her tenure, she identified common TSGLI administrative hurdles which often resulted in denied claims for active duty Marines.  As a result, Mrs. Galvin introduced business improvements by inviting collaborative communication between military medical providers and the TSGLI USMC Service Branch in order to ensure TSGLI claims received fair and judicious benefits determinations.  As a result of her dogged efforts to implement process improvements, in 2018, Mrs. Galvin successfully submitted TSGLI claims valued more than $2.5 million dollars to active duty injured Marines.
