Traumatic Service Members’ Group Life Insurance (TSGLI) is an insurance program dedicated to provide financial relief to U.S. Military members who have become tragically injured during active duty service. Injuries may have occurred while on deployment, on-or-off duty at home, while engaging in sports activities, participating in a recreational event, or on a routine training exercise. This insurance benefit offers much needed, short-term financial assistance to all service members covered under SGLI.

Our focus is to ensure your medical history is thoroughly reviewed for the entire 730 days subsequent to your accident to assess your eligibility. Once the medical review is complete, our “one-stop-shop” approach allows our nurse practitioner to certify, submit and track your claim until you receive payment.
AM I ELIGIBLE?
TSGLI coverage applies to severely-injured active duty members, reservists, National Guard personnel, funeral honors duty personnel, and those on one-day muster duty orders. The most common accidents are motor vehicle accidents which occur during evening or weekend hours. Of note, injuries that occur while off duty are also eligible for financial benefit. Drinking alcohol or line-of-duty determinations is not an automatic disqualifier.
TSGLI PROCESS
Our nurse practitioner will contact you as quickly as possible to inquire further into your medical history. If there is sufficient evidence to move forward, we will send you documents to start the medical review process. Once a claim has been submitted on your behalf, our medical experts will follow its progression through the TSGLI review process. There is no cost to you unless your claim is approved.
